PrecisionTide is a three-engine context indicator built for active traders in small-cap, micro-cap, and nano-cap equities. Rather than measuring a single dimension of price behavior, it combines structural phase classification, directional momentum measurement, and a volatility-adaptive trail into one unified framework — providing a more complete picture of how a move is developing in real time.

The Trail Engine is a SuperTrend-inspired ATR volatility trail using a Heikin-Ashi price blend to reduce false flips on wicky or volatile bars. The ATR multiplier auto-scales by market cap tier — wider for Nano and Micro to accommodate higher noise profiles, tighter for Mid and Large. Trail direction drives candle color when no phase is active.

The Wave Engine is a Hull-smoothed momentum accumulator that builds on sustained directional pressure and fades when participation slows. It resets on internal trend-state changes to prevent momentum from one leg contaminating the next, displaying current state as UP / DOWN / NEUTRAL.

The Phase Engine classifies price behavior into four structural states with distinct candle colors: Pre-Expansion (yellow) for tightening compression, Break of Structure (cyan) as price begins expanding beyond prior boundaries, Extended (orange) for continuation with sustained participation, and Parabolic (fuchsia) for rapid acceleration associated with unstable expansion and elevated round-trip risk.

The three status labels — PHASE / WAVE / TRAIL — are designed to be read together. Agreement across all three reflects the strongest contextual alignment. Divergence between WAVE and TRAIL can surface developing uncertainty before it becomes clearly visible on price alone.
